Common Uses  –

1- Nirgundi plant pacifies vitiated Vata. It has anti-inflammatory, analgesic, depurative, febrifuge, stomatitis, antipyretic, diuretic, rheumatic, and tonic properties.

2- It is used to cure arthritis, inflammations, lumbago, dyspepsia, colic, flatulence, dysentery, wounds, ulcers, bronchitis, cough, malarial fever, haemorrhoids, dysmenorrhoea, leprosy, and general debility.

Indications  – It is used internally in worm infestations, oedema, hepatomegaly and spleenomegaly, cough, dyspnoea, skin disorders, dysmenorrhoea, burning micturition, fever, poisoning. It is used externally in swellings, rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis.
